Oakwood's long standing reputation has been built on quality products, quality cover and most importantly a quality claims service.
We pride ourselves on getting the right outcome for our clients; we are there to fight your corner and we will endeavor to put you back in the same situation that you were in prior to your loss.
We have two dedicated claims advisers who between them have over 20 years of claims experience. We also have a 24hr out of office claims service in the event of a motor accident, where a trained member of staff will arrange to have your vehicle moved from the scene of an accident and advise our claims department of your incident, so that we can commence with your claim.
All of our motor policies come with free legal assistance with up to £50,000 worth of Legal Expenses Cover.
Whether your house has been flooded, or your car has beeninvolved in an accident, we will liaise with your insurers at every stage of your claim and update you on the current claim status. We believe that if you are not happy with our claims service then you are not happy with us?
IN THE EVENT OF A CLAIM
- Notify Oakwood of your claim as soon as possible
- Take immediate steps to protect/secure your property and prevent further damage occurring
- If possible take photographs
- Retain all damaged goods for inspection
- Obtain estimates for the damage caused. Ideally at least two comparative estimates would be useful
- If it is a Theft or Malicious Damage claim, this must be reported to the Police and a crime reference number obtained.
- Where appropriate, bills and receipts for damaged goods should be supplied to verify values

IMPORTANT
- It is your duty to ensure that you provide accurate details of the loss
- All claims are recorded on various databases to which other insurers have access
- Insurers may exchange information about previous claims
- Overstatement or exaggeration of your losses could invalidate your policy and lead to rejection of your claim. In certain instances, this could be treated as a criminal matter
